We regularly work together with top professionals all over the globe, to create statement pieces for beautiful rooms to reflect individual tastes.
We are thus inspired, by these designers, to make stunning and unique tables for their clients, requiring us to match a specific and stylish environment, and insisting on work of the highest quality. This has a knock-on benefit for us and all of our clients, and in many cases too, it is the customer themselves that provides the inspiration, making their own, truly personal, statement piece of furniture – or complete room design.
With complete freedom to choose every detail of the billiard table, accessories and lighting, designers can specify every shape, style, shade, texture, detail and finish, to be uniquely suited to the room it’s being designed for.
The private clients, property developers, luxury hotel groups, clubs & bars that especially benefit from this approach, will also often require unique pieces of matching or contrasting furniture. Materials
Quality craftsmanship requires the finest materials – Whatever choices you make about the woods & metals, fabrics and details – it is our concern to make sure that the materials we use are always of the highest quality.
Whether your table is handmade from solid wood such as Ash, Oak, Mahogany or Walnut, has metal inlays, legs, frame-work or detail, is carved, decorated or utterly simple – we demand consistent quality from our suppliers as well as our craftsmen. We are happy to say that after so many years in the business we have strong relationships with suppliers that are also at the top of their game – so that we can select the perfect material for each and every piece we make.
WOODS
The choice is enticing. Select from widely varying woods: Ash, cherry, maple, mahogany, elm, rosewood, walnut and quarter-sawn oak
Choose from the different grains of American, French or English oak, from mellow cluster oak, crown cut or beautiful burr oak. Walnut and burr walnut make a striking combination. Contrast figured and flamed mahogany. Burr veneers provide you with a range of exciting options: exquisitely detailed burr olive from ancient trees, intricate Myrtona and Myrtle, densely figured Walnut and exquisite Yew and Elm.
STAINS & FINISHES
Choose from natural Oak to rich Walnut finishes. Stain to a medium Oak or Jacabean. Finish your table in wax, Danish oil, an antique patina or French polish. Your wood selection, stain and finish can dramatically alter your table, from a modern feel to an antique appearance. We happily match your order to existing pieces of furniture.
CLOTH
We believe that the best tables deserve the best cloth, and our preference is the west of England wool cloth made by Hainsworth’s. As well as traditional green and a couple of colours that they make specially for us – they offer 20 colours in each of their Smart and Elite-pro ranges..
The Smart range is wool rich with deep colours and a lovely feel ideal for UK pool or (non-traditional) snooker tables; their Elite-pro is a fasater, worsted cloth – of the kind typically used for US billiards – and also suitable for pritning on.
